Throughout his career, Jim was a machinist who brought his expertise to a variety of companies, earning respect for his craftsmanship and work ethic. Beyond his professional achievements, Jim was known for his spirited personality—funny, stubborn at times, and always ready to share a joke. Jim's greatest pride and joy came from his role as a grandfather. His grandchildren—Alyssa, James, Ashlyn, Jacob, Leanna, Aria, Zhion, and Weston—were truly his world, and he wore the title of Grandpa with immense love and pride. Family was central to Jim’s identity, reflected in the deep bonds he shared with his beloved wife, Kathy Ramsey, and his children: James (Andrea) Ramsey, Amber (Joe) Shields, and Cody (Evy) Banks. Jim’s personal joys extended to his fondness for the Cincinnati Bengals and his cherished Harley Davidson motorcycle, both emblematic of his vibrant spirit and zest for life. He was also an animal lover who cared deeply for the many dogs he had during his lifetime, demonstrating a gentle heart beneath his strong exterior.
