James Douglas "Jim" Pinson

James Douglas Pinson passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on May 29, 1953, Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, and father, a person of deep integrity, and someone who brought care, humor, and thoughtfulness to every part of his life.

Jim graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1971 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Wright State University. Over the years, he held numerous accounting positions before becoming Director of Internal Audit at Thor Industries. He approached his work with great detail and care, and he was known for his integrity in the way he handled situations and projects throughout his career.

Beyond his professional life, Jim found great joy in travel and in making memories with those he loved. He loved to travel both within the United States and internationally. In his earlier years he especially enjoyed riding his motorcycle through the Western United States. He also enjoyed taking his family to Disneyland, creating lasting memories through those special trips. Another treasured part of his life was the annual West Virginia family reunions, which he loved and looked forward to.

Jim will also be remembered for his sense of humor, which added warmth to the lives of those around him. His steady character, careful nature, and ability to bring both laughter and dependability to his family and friends made him deeply loved.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Pinson; his daughter, Karyn Pinson and husband Jack Lin; his son, Kevin Pinson and wife Alissa; his sisters, Carol Pinson and husband Paul Karsh, Ruth Meyer and husband Gene, and Linda Long; and his brother, Tim Pinson; and his numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a family who will carry forward the memory of his kindness, his dedication, and the many happy times shared together.

James Douglas Pinson’s life was marked by commitment to his family, pride in his work, and enjoyment of the experiences that brought people together. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Centerville. Visitation will begin one hour prior at 10 AM at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
