James Myers, age 83, passed away in Dayton, OH on January 18, 2015. He was born to the late Sterling and Sarah Myers in Appalachia, VA on May 11, 1931. James was a veteran in the 101st Air Borne United States Army and served in the Korean War. He retired from GM after 31 years. Attended First Pentecostal Church in Xenia, OH and proudly drove the church bus for 15 years. He loved flea markets and garage sales. James is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elizabeth; 7 children Debbie, Sandra, Susie, Kenny, Vickie and Rick; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother Sterling Myers and 1 sister Dorothy Hulsey. He was preceded in death by his son Matthew Myers. Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 6pm-8pm with funeral service to follow on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11am. Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
