There are some who bring a light so great into this world, that even after they are gone, their light remains, James Allen "Jimmy" Love, was one of those lights. Jimmy, age 62, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Born on June 23, 1963, Jimmy was the beloved son of Herbert and Lois Love.
A proud graduate of Kiser High School, class of 1982, Jimmy exemplified dedication through his service to his country in the United States Army. He was a man of deep faith and kindness, consistently sharing God's love with those around him. His journey through Alcoholics Anonymous became a source of strength, and he found a great passion for mentoring others along their paths.
Jimmy had a joyful spirit and loved many things, including his cherished Scooby Doo and being an avid supporter of the University of Dayton Flyers Basketball team. He radiated warmth and encouragement, touching the lives of everyone he encountered. His ability to forge connections meant that he never met a stranger.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Love, and his wife, Sara Love.
He is survived by his mother, Lois Love; his sisters, Lisa Marie (Bruce) Williamson and Patricia Ann (Jeff) Carter; his partner, Jennifer Kraft, and her children, along with countless family and friends who will deeply miss him.
