James "Jim" G. II Law, age 65, of West Carrollton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Jim was born in Dayton, OH on June 25, 1952 to James G. & Dorothy J. Law.
Jim was a graduate of Colonel White H.S. class of 1970. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and has been a lifelong fan of the UT Volunteers. Jim had a love of music, never missing a Beach Boy Concert. Jim was a member of Riverdale United Methodist Church in Dayton and St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Beavercreek. He was employed by Wickes Lumber in Alpha for over 20 years. Throughout the 80's and 90's, Jim coached youth soccer and softball in Xenia-but his one passion in life was cheering on his kids and grandkids. He was always their #1 fan, and he theirs. His grandkids affectionately referred to him as "Pop Pop".
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James G. Law and his best friend of over 30 years, Larry Webb.
He is survived by his large legacy of loving family & friends: mother, Dorothy "Dottie" J. Law; siblings, Jean M. Wasky, Sarah "Sally" A. Tipton, William "Bill" T. Law, and Jeffrey "Jeff" A. (Lori) Law; children, James "Jim" G. (Amber Osteen) Law III, Kristen M. (Rick Smith) Scolastico, and David "Dave" A. (Amy Green) Law; grandchildren, Leanna "Lele" M. Scolastico Dakota P. Scolastico, Anastacia "Ana-banana" M. Law, Tatiana "Tia/T-Bird", Aiden A. Law, Dominic N. Scolastico, Mya P. Law, Xavier P. Scolastico, Gabriella E. Law, and Helena E. Scolastico; good friends, Billy Shelton, Tammy Ross, John Jackson, Phil Garybush and John Pratt; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 5-8pm at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. The service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 1pm at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest next to his father at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, OH.
