James D. Kessler

James D. Kessler, age 78 of Kettering, passed away January 12, 2018. He was born March 10, 1939 in Dayton to the late Donovan and Orlys Kessler. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Kessler.

Jim is survived by son, Charles (Teresa) Kessler; daughter, Terri (Byron) Schooler; grandchildren: Keith and Keirsten Schooler; sister, Donna (Curtis) Hunt; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim retired from the Chrysler Corp. after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Miami Shores Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held from 11 am - 12 noon on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance Road, Moraine, where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Burial to follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road.
