James E. Justice, age 94 of Dayton, Ohio passed away March 27, 2016. He was born January 5, 1922 in Greenup, KY to the late Drew and Frona Justice. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Justice; and 6 siblings.
James is survived by his sons: Daniel (Irene) Justice and Mel (Donna) Justice; 3 grandchildren: Ginger (Ken) Gooch, Amber (John) Barry and John Justice; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Back; and niece, Pat (Ken) Brinkman.
James was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Sergeant in WWII and member of the First Special Service Force during the liberation of Norway. James was a recipient of the Bronze Star with Valor. He retired from National Cash Register and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, where he received a Distinguished Service Award.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am. Rev. Ralph Rolfe officiating. Burial and military honors to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
