James "Jim" Merritt
April 16, 1951 — July 2, 2013
James "Jim" E. Merritt, age 62 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Merritt; mother, Phyllis Adams; brother, Robert Merritt ; and step-father, Rex Adams.
He is survived by daughter, Kim Allen; granddaughters, Taylor and Hayley; and numerous friends and coworkers.
Jim retired from UPS after 34 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Jim enjoyed traveling out to Las Vegas in his spare time.
A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arbor Day Foundation or American Cancer Society.
