James T. Collinsworth Jr., age 65 of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025. He was born December 9, 1959 in Dallas, Texas, the son of the late James Sr. and Lois Collinsworth.
Jim graduated from Belmont High School in the class of 1979. After high school, Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1980-1986. After the military, he followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather and became a Machinist/Tool Maker. Jim was a muscle car enthusiast, an avid gunsmith and a major history buff. He was a member of Midwest Naval Combat Club of RC Warship Combat. Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and mentor who will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Collinsworth and paternal grandparents, Thurman and Margaret Collinsworth.
Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debbie; children, Tiffany Sanning and James T. (Sarah) Collinsworth III; grandchildren, Alexander, Abigail, Audrey, Bailey and Layla; brothers, Bob (Donna) Collinsworth and John(Victoria) Collinsworth; sister, Susan Collinsworth; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Jim's honor.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Jim will be inurned at Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors at a later date.
