James "Jim" L. Clemmer II, born on December 27, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025. Jim's journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and a deep passion for connecting with those around him.

From an early age, Jim found joy in the kitchen, beginning his career at his parents' carry-out restaurant, Jim's Chicken Shack, in Miamisburg. This humble start nurtured his appreciation for bringing happiness to others, a theme that continued throughout his life. Jim later became a stage hand with I.A.T.S.E., a role he cherished as he worked tirelessly behind the scenes on various productions from the Nutcracker, to the Wiz, to a tour with ZZ Top. His dedication to the arts allowed him to engage with countless individuals, all while enjoying the camaraderie of his fellow union brothers and sisters.

To know Jim was to experience his warmth and kindness. He was a loving storyteller, eager to share laughter and create memorable moments with family and friends. Jim’s personality shone brightly in everything he did, as he took great pleasure in making those around him smile. His recent hobby of racing slot cars was particularly fulfilling for him, as it provided both enjoyment and the fellowship of other racers.

Jim's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He was saved by his Lord and Savior Jesus, and prayed for the salvation of others. His spirit will be carried on through the memories he created and the lives he touched.

He leaves behind a legacy of love as he is survived by his mother, Loretta Clemmer; sister, Linda Clemmer; and five grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He will also be remembered fondly by his many friends.

Jim is welcomed into eternal rest by his beloved wife, Beth Clemmer; daughter, Misty McCullough; father, James L. Clemmer, Sr.; sister, Cathy Middleton; as well as many others.

As we remember Jim, let us celebrate his life filled with laughter, kindness, and faith. He will be at home, waiting for the rest of his family and friends to join him.

A celebration of life is pending at this time.
