James Jay Mathis, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2016 at his residence. He was born December 22, 1962 in Dayton to his mother, Janet E. Early and father, Jim Mathis.
He is survived by his mother; his father; half-brothers, Scott Capozzi and Gary Mathis; sister, Sandy Coffee; half-sister, Karen Mathis; aunt and uncle, Myrt and Gary Estep; niece and nephew, Heather Coffee and Shawn Coffee.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
