James "Jamie" Addison Thigpen, born on March 27, 1992, in Savannah, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on May 27, 2025, in Trenton, Ohio. Jamie was a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, known for his vibrant personality and infectious laughter that could brighten the darkest of days.
Jamie attended Stebbins High School, where he showcased his athletic talents playing football and running track. His humorous and witty nature made him the life of the party, and he was known for his loving demeanor, sarcasm, and a little bit of wildness that always kept those around him entertained. He had an undeniable gift for music; no matter the instrument, Jamie could pick it up and play effortlessly, captivating many with his natural talent.
Among his cherished memories was the yearly Moore Men's campout in Creelsboro, Kentucky, where laughter and camaraderie thrived, reflecting the deep connections he valued with family. His interests included working on cars, streaming on YouTube, and immersing himself in both playing and listening to music, making him a well-rounded individual who enjoyed life to its fullest.
Jamie is survived by his three adoring children, Zavannah, Zaelynn, and Kayden, who were undoubtedly his proudest accomplishments. He is also survived by his loving parents: John and Molly Moore, Shayne and Tanna Thigpen, and Amanda Stephens. Jamie's siblings, Damarias (Kelly) Zechella, Christopher Moore, Aleasha Thigpen, Michael Thigpen, and Joshua (Ali) Reeves, along with his grandmother Linda Stephens, and his best friends (aka his cousins) that are too numerous to name, mourn his loss deeply. He is further survived by other family and friends who will miss his laughter and spirit.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Smitty and Marketha Moore, James and Jeane Thigpen, and Joseph Stephens, who surely welcomed him with open arms.
A celebration of Jamie's life will be held on June 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Delco Park Meeting Place, located at 1707 Delco Park Dr, Dayton, Ohio. Friends and family are invited to join in commemorating the remarkable life of Jamie, sharing in the joy and love he brought to all who knew him.
