A proud graduate of Meadow Creek High School in Norcross, Georgia, James balanced his adventurous nature with discipline. In his younger years, he passionately played baseball took Karate and a die heart fan of watching football, showcasing not just his knack for sports but also his determination and zest for life. Music filled his soul, and he often found solace in its rhythms, further reflecting his dynamic character. He had a keen interest in travel, eagerly seeking new horizons, and he cherished the thrill of exploring life's possibilities, just as he loved his Monte Carlo cars.

James's heart was his family, and he treasured the moments spent with them. He is survived by his loving parents, James Moody and Annie Cockrell, along with Rickey Dailey Sr. Serving as a rock for his four siblings-Jeremy Moody, Rickey (Kelly) Dailey Jr., Timothy Dailey, and Kennedy Dailey-James was a source of laughter and support, bringing a unique spark to every family gathering.

His maternal grandparents, Clarence and Ethel Cockrell, stood as pillars of his life, nurturing the values that shaped his vibrant spirit. James carried their love with him always. He leaves behind a vast network of family and friends who will honor his memory, forever grateful for the joy he imparted in their lives.

James is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David and Mary McFarland and Curlie Dailey. Though James has departed from this earthly realm, the legacy of his unmatched spirit, kindness, and spontaneous adventures will continue to inspire and bring smiles to those who knew him. As we celebrate his life, let us carry forth his gift of laughter, ensuring that his joyous spirit lives on in every memory we share.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. An additional visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm; both located at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Dayton, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424.

Funeral Service will be officiated on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 4:00 pm at the same location.
