James M. "Jamie" Hyder, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on May 16, 2025, in Fairborn, Ohio. Born in Dayton, Ohio, on August 5, 1966, Jamie was a vibrant spirit whose contagious laughter brought joy to everyone he met. He graduated from Wayne High School in 1984 and went on to attend Sinclair Community College, completing the Step II Program.

For 39 years, Jamie dedicated his career to RMT Corporation as a Tool and Die Maker. He was known for his meticulous and perfectionist approach to his craft, and extended that approach in all areas of his life. His strong work ethic was matched only by his kindness and creativity. He was an adventurous soul, embracing life with a heart of gold. He had a passion for classic cars and motorcycles, often seen cruising the open road or embarking on long rides that filled his spirit with joy. Jamie was also an accomplished artist, expressing himself through drawing and painting, which he pursued with fervent enthusiasm.

Jamie is remembered for his fun-loving personality, his loyalty to friends and family, and his gift for storytelling. Those who knew him cherished his adventurous spirit and appreciated the artistic essence he brought to every moment shared. His humor, infectious laughter, and compassionate nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

He is survived by his loving mother, Jeanne (Griever) Hyder; his sister, Jennifer McCullough (Steve); his cherished nephew, Gabriel McCullough; and a host of other family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Jamie was preceded in death by his father, James E. Hyder, and his grandparents, Lem and Lola (Parsons) Griever, as well as James H. and Mary (Latos) Hyder.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Jamie's memory to the Ronald McDonald House of Dayton or the Greene County Humane Society.
