James Hall Sr.

James Hall Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and, passed away peacefully December 3,2024, in Dayton, Ohio, where he was born on December 18, 1962. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and dedication that touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.

After a long and fulfilling career as a plumber, James was known for his exceptional skills and unwavering work ethic. He approached life with a generous spirit and was always willing to help anyone in need, embody the phrase "he would give the shirt off his back." This selflessness extended beyond his professional life into his personal relationships, where he was a steadfast support to his family and friends.

James had a profound love for sports, particularly football and baseball, and his competitive yet joyful nature made game days special occasions for all. Outside the world of sports, he found great joy in fishing—an activity that allowed him to connect with nature and often shared quiet moments with his loved ones.

Family was at the center of James's universe. He cherished every opportunity to spend time with his wife, Anna Hall, and took immense pride in his children: Andrea Helms, James Hall Jr. and his wife Kristen, Jacob Hall and his wife Abigail, and Jared Hall. The joys of being a grandfather were reflected in his fondness for his grandchildren, James Hall III, Anabella Sparks, and Rylee Hall, with whom he shared countless adventures and cherished memories.

James is also survived by his sister, Sandra Hall Caverlee, and her husband Chris, who will fondly remember their times together.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Dempsey; his mother, Christina Hall; his brother, Jack Dempsey Jr.; and his sisters, Susie Barron and Sherry Hall, as well as his nephew, Jason Hall. Their memories will forever be in the hearts of those who remain.

James Hall Sr.'s legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will live on in the stories shared by his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and remembered with great affection.
