James Brown

James W. Brown, age 83 of Dayton, passed away April 3, 2016. He was born February 1, 1933 in Abington, VA to the late Samuel and Pearl Brown.

Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Brown; 5 daughters: Cindy (Scott) Drake, Jamie Brown, Lori Brown, Donna (Dave) Murray and Debra (Ken) Masloski; son, A.J. Brown; sister, Opal Douglas of Idaho; mother-in-law, Hazel Phibbs; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was the owner and operator of Coast Auto Sales. He was a longtime member of Dayton Auto Auction and loved auto racing. Jim sponsored many racers in the racing community.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where a memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm. Contributions may be made in Jim's memory to Hospice of the Miami Valley.
