Jacklyn Marie “Jackie” Poston, aged 77, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on July 2, 2025. Born on November 12, 1947, Jackie was known for her kind and gentle nature, always had a smile for everyone she met.
Jackie's passion for life was evident through her love of cooking, especially for family gatherings, and her dedication to maintaining beautiful flower gardens around her home. She had a lifelong love for the outdoors, enjoying camping, shooting, and fishing for catfish, bluegill and rockbass at the Greene County Fish and Game Association campground, where she and her husband were members for over 40 years.
A graduate of Kettering Schools, Jackie worked as an administrative assistant for Equifax for many years, then moved on to The Tipton Real Estate Group. It was here that she met her husband of 34 years, Lilburn Lee Poston. She later joined Sibcy Cline Real Estate, where she worked until her retirement in 2016.
Jackie was preceded in death by her first husband of 21 years, Wayne Johnson; their son, John Johnson; her parents, Jenny and Jack Kelly; and her brother, Mike Kelly. She is survived by her loving husband Lilburn; her daughter, Jill Klein (David), and granddaughter, Ashley; sister, Patricia Soucie (Ted) and their children; brother Jim Kelly (Kathy) and their children; her brother Johnnie Kelly (April) and their children; step son, Mark Poston (Pam), and their children; step son Marlon Poston (Christy) and his children; and many other relatives and friends.
Jackie also loved her hobbies, completing puzzles, doing crafts, and visiting Amish villages, antique stores and local festivals. She loved spending time with her family during the holidays and birthdays.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced at a later date, as per her wishes, to share memories and celebrate her life. Jackie did not want a traditional funeral, preferring instead a gathering filled with love and remembrance.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Crossroads Hospice for the care Jackie received in her final months.
