JC Bartley of Huber Heights, OH, left to dwell in the house of the Lord on May 14, 2011 following a lengthy illness. Born on December 24, 1929 in Pike County, KY, he was the son of the late John Calvin and Emma Rowe Bartley.
He retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service and, later, from Hahn Automotive, Inc where he was employed as a delivery driver for 25 years. He attended the House of Prayer Church in Beavercreek, OH and was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Oma Lou Kinney and Mable Whicker and one brother, Hursel Coleman. He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Mildred Ramey Bartley, one son, Ronald Keith Bartley of Huber Heights, OH, two nieces Billie Joyce Robinson (Kenneth) and Rosemary Coleman, one nephew, Donald Whicker, all of Pike County and several cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday. Burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, with military honors to be performed by the United States Air Force. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mr. Bartley's name to the American Diabetes Association.
