Ivetta Moorehead

Ivetta Moorehead, age 82, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026. She was born on June 11, 1944, in West Liberty, Kentucky, the daughter of Andy and Lillian Wright.

Ivetta was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 30 years, Mark Moorehead; her parents, Andy and Lillian Wright; her son, Scott Stamper; her daughter, Michelle Bravard; and her siblings, Sue (Delbert) Campbell, Jean Wheeler, and Wade Wright.

She is survived by her loving grandchildren, Sierra (Bennie) Rosselott, Rachel (Mike) Heindl, Brook (Gary) Bravard, Wade (Autumn) Stamper, and Shelby (Michael) Kinder; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Layla, Zoe, Arya, Timothy, Benjamin, Ellie, and Kallie. She also leaves behind numerous relatives and dear friends who will miss her greatly.

Ivetta retired from General Motors after many years of dedicated service and also worked as a hairdresser at Fiesta Salon. She was known for her feisty spirit, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to her family. Being a mother was one of her greatest joys, and nothing meant more to her than her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by her "babies," creating memories with those she loved most. In her free time, Ivetta enjoyed watching Antiques Roadshow and Dr. Phil, arranging flowers, crafting, and shopping. Her greatest hobby, however, was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warmth, strength, and love for family will be remembered by all who knew her. Ivetta's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to her family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Visitation will be from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Newcomer - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral Service will follow at 4:30 pm, same location. Ivetta will be laid to rest at Brown Cemetery in West Liberty, Kentucky on Thursday, August 6, 2025 at 12:00 pm.
