Ivanell DePriest Lockwood, passed away on November 8, 2025, after a full and vibrant life that spanned 87 years. Born on May 6, 1938, in Ironton, Ohio, Ivanell was known for her pleasant demeanor and funny spirit, bringing warmth and laughter to everyone she met.

For many years, Ivanell dedicated herself to the Mad River School District as a school bus driver, where she played an important role in the lives of countless students. Her commitment to the community extended beyond the bus route, as she also volunteered at Vancrest for an impressive 25 years, lending her time and help to residents in need.

When she wasn’t busy with her work and volunteer efforts, Ivanell found joy in gardening, cultivating beautiful plants. A spark of adventure lived within her; back in the day, she was known to race at Kilcare Speedway, showcasing not only her love for speed but also her zest for life.

Ivanell leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory. She is survived by her children: Sheila Mershon, Debra (Michael) Heil, Patricia (Lee) Martin, and Billy (Carla) Lockwood. Her legacy continues through her 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were touched by her love and warmth.

She joins her son, Mitch DePriest, in eternal rest, along with her father, Bill Morgan, her mother, Ona Morgan, and her brothers Frank, Jason, and Calvin Morgan.

Ivanell DePriest Lockwood will be remembered not just for her career or volunteer work, but for the genuine joy she brought into the lives of so many. Her spirit will surely live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding everyone of the laughter and love she shared so freely.
