Irene (Earnest) White, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Irene was born October 10, 1929 in Alabama, to the late Roosevelt and Alberta Earnest.
She moved to Dayton, Ohio at a very young age. Irene retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital after 33 years as a baker.
She was preceded in death by Robert White Sr.; son, Robert White Jr.; brothers, Arnold, Ray, Robert, Clifford, Aaron Earnest; and sister, Barbara Jean Martin. She leaves to cherish in her loving memory: her sister, Shirley Gooden; her children, Regina Bowers, Sheila (William) Jarvis, and Garry (Lisa) Martin; grandchildren, Robin White, Reashon Bowers, Leonita White, Jaleesa Hutchinson and Joceyln Martin; great-grandchildren, Lavelle Hatcher Jr., Reashon Bowers Jr., Caiden Smith, and Jackson Hutchinson; great-great-grandchild Jayson Hatcher; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 10 am to 11 am at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH 45424). Funeral service will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow in West Memory Gardens.
