Irene Hardy, beloved mother and devoted nurse passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 84. She was born on June 12, 1942, in Macon, Georgia, and lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for her family.

As a dedicated nurse, Irene devoted her career to caring for others with kindness, skill, and empathy. She found purpose in helping those in need and earned the respect and gratitude of her patients, colleagues, and friends. Nursing was not simply her profession—it was a calling that reflected her generous heart.

Above all else, Irene was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Her family was the greatest joy of her life, and she was a constant source of love, encouragement, and strength. She created lasting memories through her warmth, wisdom, and unconditional support, leaving an enduring legacy that will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Irene was also an enthusiastic Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Whether cheering from her living room or celebrating victories with family, she proudly wore scarlet and gray and never missed an opportunity to support her beloved Buckeyes.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, AC and Doris Bell; sisters, Marion Hatcher and Dot Burkett; beloved son, Timothy Hardy; and the love of her life, her Husband, Ronald Hardy. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Jaimee) Hardy and Mark (Amber) Hardy; Grandchildren Alex, Abbie and Danessa; and numerous nephews and nieces, who will forever cherish her memory.
