Irene “Betty” Cox, age 84, of Beavercreek, passed away on December 10th, 2025. Betty was born on August 7th, 1941, in Leicester, England, to George and Jessie Talbott.
While living in England, Betty met Paul Cox, who would become her husband and lifelong companion. She moved to Paul’s home in the United States, where they were married, built a life together and lovingly raised their two sons, Mike and Steven.
Betty was known for her exceptional work ethic, loving soul, and deep generosity. She enjoyed painting and crafts, traveling, spending time with family, and taking trips back to England to visit loved ones. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her children, Mike (Denise) Cox and Steven (Kelley) Cox; and her grandchildren, Kathryn (Marcin) Morys, Jennifer Landry, Joseph Cox, Parker Cox, and Gabrielle Cox. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul Cox; her parents, George and Jessie; and her sisters, Tina and Margaret.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and everyone who took part in supporting and caring for Betty during her final days.
Services will be held privately for the family, with inurnment to follow at Dayton National Cemetery, where she will rest beside her husband.
