Mrs. Ina Maxine Dye, 87, of Seymour, Indiana, formerly of Centerville, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2018, at Schneck Medical Center, surrounded by family. She was born in Monterey, Tennessee, on April 13, 1931, to the late Herbert and Martha (Matthews) Pettit.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432) on Saturday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ethan Daves officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens (1639 E Lytle 5 Points Rd, Centerville, OH 45458).
Family and friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home on Friday, June 8, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., and from 10:00 until the time of service on Saturday.
She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church in Franklin, Ohio. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and crossword puzzles; she also loved reading her Bible and taking part in church activities. Most of all, she loved taking care of her family.
She is survived by her son, David Gerald (Linda) Dye; grandchildren, Daniel (Tonya) Dye, Sarah (Luke) Willey, Leah (Stefan) Price, Rachel (Kody) Gunter and John Dye; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Willey and Spencer Dye; sisters, Lola Geraldine Hogue and Merle Jones; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Curtis Dye; daughter, Kimberly Dye; granddaughter, Hannah Marie Dye; brother, Dewey Pettit; and sister, Dora Walker.
