Imogene Ellis, age 80 of Griffin, GA, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton, OH. She was born August 10, 1937 in Atlanta, GA the daughter of James and Anna Hayes.
She is preceded in death by husband, John Ellis, Jr., parents, brothers, James Hayes, Jr., and Wilbert Hayes
Imogene never met a stranger. She loved to read, travel and spend time with friends and family. She was a life long member of Springhill Baptist Church in Griffin, GA., attended Zion Baptist church in Xenia, OH and Faith Tabernacle AOH Church of God in Richmond, CA.
Imogene is survived by her children, John H (Vickie) Ellis, Cheryl A Ellis, Rosanna (Bruce) Jivens, Pamela L Carter, Edward C Ellis, Thornton Ellis; goddaughter, Patricia Miller; sisters, Juanita Pless, Barbara Johnson and Betty Williamson; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; two special great grand nephews, Kadafi and Kadeem Johnson. She is also survived by numerous family and friends.
Visitation Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home Griffin, GA. Funeral service Saturday, April 14, 2018 2:00 pm Springhill Baptist Church Griffin, GA. Burial Westwood Gardens Cemetery.
