Homer Norrod, 83, of Kettering, passed away on August 26, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born on March 6, 1935 to Elbert and Zora Mae Norrod in Livingston, TN.
Homer worked as a Factory Worker for Dayton Press and Dayton Walther.
On September 19, 1955, he married Wilma Norrod (Garrett). Homer and Wilma made Kettering their home for the last 33 years.
He was an organ player and member of several local assemblies over the past 40 years.
Homer is survived by his loving Wife of 63 years, Wilma; Children, Gregory (Paula) Norrod and Benjamin (Samantha) Norrod; Grandchildren, Gabrielle (Jacob), Annalise, Elisabeth, Jessica, and others; Sister, Martha (Edward) Dixon; Nephew, Danny (Sonja) and his children William and Amanda; and all of his Church Family.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, Elbert and Zora Mae; Brothers, Elbert Ray and Carl; Sister, Beatrice; and other loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton 45420).
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 9 am at Newcomer South Chapel in Kettering.
