Herma Slone

Herma Slone, age 89 of Fairborn, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born November 24, 1930 in Hindman, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Jim and Mary Belle Thacker.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Miniard; sons, Michael and Keith Slone; grandson, Keith Doss; brothers, Arnold, Willie, Gurney and Harold Thacker; sisters, Elsie Slone, Hattie Moran, Ada Bishop, Louise Hicks and Jean Hall.
Herma is survived by her children, Bobby (Kathy) Slone, Sue Slone, Jimmy Slone, Vickie (Stanley) Dick, Tammy (Jeff) Watkins; grandchildren, Kimberly Slone, Robert (Cheryl) Slone, Tonia (Craig) Schuttinger, Brian Holderman, Kristie (Robert) Drew, Jimmy Slone, Jamie Slone, Chris (Brande) Slone, Justin (Becky) Slone, Lindsay (Dane) Welch and Brianna Sturgill; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sister, Lydia Robinson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery.
