Herbert R. Textor, Sr.
January 26, 1927 — February 15, 2018
Herbert R. Textor, Sr., age 91 of Riverside, WWII Navy Veteran, passed away February 15, 2018. He was born January 26, 1927 in Dayton to the late Carl and Katherina Textor, Sr. In addition to his parents, Herb was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl L. Textor; and son, Daniel Textor, Sr.
Herbert's love of family was deeply rooted. He will be greatly missed by all. Herbert was a long time member of the Dayton Liederkranz Turner. He was an avid swimmer, marathon runner and tennis player.
Herb is survived by his daughter, Sharon Textor; son, Herbert Textor, Jr.; daughter, Brenda Lush (Textor); 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is being held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Herb's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the American Heart Association, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Operation Smile.
