It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Helen Jeanne Greif, who left this world on May 12, 2026. Born on February 16, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Helen graced the lives of all who knew her with a contagious positive outlook and an unwavering dedication to caring for others.
Helen’s presence was a beacon of warmth and kindness, a quality that shone most brightly when surrounded by her beloved family. A cherished memory for many was watching Helen light up as she spent treasured moments decorating the Christmas tree with her loved ones, a tradition that reflected the joy and closeness she so deeply valued. She found immense happiness in simple pleasures—whether engrossed in the challenge of puzzles, the gentle rhythm of hand knitting, or sharing spirited moments watching WWE alongside her husband, Richard Greif, to whom she was devoted until his passing.
An avid supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals, Helen’s enthusiasm for the team echoed the passion and loyalty she showed in every facet of her life. Her family was her greatest pride, and she took particular joy in watching her grandchildren grow and thrive, a source of boundless pride and happiness.
Helen is survived by her daughters Heather Greif and Erica Webb, who shares her life with Nathen. She also leaves behind her sisters, Carol (Paul) Levasseur and Joanne (Fred) Schwarz, her brother Ed (Vicki) Hatke, and her cherished grandchildren Alliyah, Alexis, Carter, and Kyler, who will carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Greif, and her parents, Edward and Betty Hatke, whose memory she honored throughout her life.
Helen Jeanne Greif’s life was a testament to the power of compassion and the enduring strength of family ties. Her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those she touched, inspiring warmth, care, and optimism for generations to come.
