She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren, whose laughter and accomplishments filled her days with happiness, as well as by multiple nieces and a nephews who held special places in her heart.

She now joins in rest her beloved husband, Frank Cooper, as well as her father George Shanks and mother Ethel Shanks. Helen was predeceased also by her siblings—brothers and sisters whose memories she carried fondly throughout her life.

A woman of many interests and an active mind, Helen found joy in attending church, embracing her church family as an extension of her own. She was known to frequent thrift shops, always on the lookout for unexpected treasures, and she delighted in the simple pleasure of doing word searches. Her faith was an essential part of her life, and she greeted all with her signature sincerity and playful spirit. Helen had a funny, kind, and sweet disposition, complemented by a spunky attitude that made her a treasured presence among friends and family alike. She often shared her favorite saying, "Jesus loves you and so do I," a phrase that perfectly captured her boundless love and faith.

Helen Ionia Cooper’s presence brought laughter, comfort, and inspiration to all who knew her. Her profound legacy is one of faith, perseverance, and love—values she passed on generously and that will forever echo in the hearts of her family, church community, and friends.

As Helen is remembered and celebrated, her family takes solace in the immense impact she had on their lives and the loving memories that will continue to sustain them.
