Brendel (Fisher), Helen L., went to her greater reward on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Born in March of 1928 in Dayton, Ohio. She was truly a member of the "Greatest Generation." She was preceded in death by her loving spouse of 52 years, Leo Brendel; son, Doug; parents, Lloyd and Catharine Fisher; siblings, Lloyd (Bud), Cassie, Jim, Joe Fisher, and Bonnie Coleman.
She is survived by her children, Greg (Lyn) Brendel, Bonnie (John) Nagle, and Pat (Rick) Beaman. Helen is also survived by her sister and best friend, Mary Pfeiffer of Tampa, Florida; close friend, Chuck McKinnon, and sister-in-law, Ruth Fisher, as well as grandchildren, Josh, Jason, Jen, Glen, Kim, Emily, Alex, Chelsea, and thirteen great grandchildren, with one more due in July.
Kind hearted, exceptionally positive, and fun loving, Helen never met a stranger. She remained very active up until the past few months when her health failed her. She will be missed by many.
Visitation at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 5 - 8 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering, OH on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11 A.M. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Charitable contributions are asked for Hospice of Dayton and the American Heart Association.
