Shade, Hazel Marie (Wright) 84, of Dayton, passed away December 12, 2016.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Clement Shade; 4 children, Diane(David) Orner, Donna (Jeff) Loy, David (Laurie) Shade, Lori Shade; grandchildren, Michelle, Dustin, Shannon, Ginger (George), Dakota, Tyee, Logan, Jamie, Mark, Andrea, John, Daniel, and Elijah; great grandchildren, Haley, Nicholas, Blake, Jillian, Crosley, Kayla, Ryleigh, Travis, Austin, J.T., Paden, Adalee, Alyxandria; 2 sisters, Thelma, Mary Ann, 1 brother, Warren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was inducted into the Montgomery Co. Gospel Music Hall of Fame, was a song writer and an accomplished musician, playing both the piano and the organ. Hazel was a Song Evangelist with the Nazarene Church, and sang 35 different states and 2 world countries. She also taught piano for many years. She had her own tax and accounting business, was a licensed Realtor, and formerly managed the Claypool Apartments.
Hazel had a strong love for Jesus and leading others to Christ. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of funeral service at 12:00pm on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road. Burial at Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Uterine Cancer Foundation in memory of Diane Shade Orner.
