Harvey Anson Blair

Harvey Anson Blair, born on May 4, 1947 in, Bellefontaine OH to Dorothy Belle Denny and Darius Blair, passed away in Centerville, OH on March 9, 2026.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Darius and Dorothy Blair; and his siblings, Darius Blair Jr., Thomas Blair, Donald Blair, Mary Ann Ross, Julia Marie Loverde, Barbara Lou Gingrey, Robert Blair, Susan Joy, and James Blair Sr..

Harvey is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ellen Dolores (Young) Blair; sons, Michael Blair of Bellefontaine, OH, Jason Blair (Pamela) of Nolanville, TX, and Lucas G. Blair (Hannah) of West Carrollton, OH; grandchildren, Quila Leffler (Paul), Alexandra Blair (Mike Baker), Lilly Blair, Riley Blair, Daniel L. Schleusense, and Adam L. Blair (Siarra); great-granddaughter, Phoenix Sage Baker; and great-grandsons, Beau Dean Leffler and Brody Leffler; and many other beloved friends and family.

Harvey graduated from Triad High School Class of 1965 and received a BS (1987) and MBA (1989) from Western New Mexico University.

Harvey served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded several medals, including the Purple Heart and Silver Star.

While living in New Mexico for many years, he was very active in Hurley Masonic Lodge and Silver City Lodge with of 30 years of membership. Harvey was also a member of the Shriners and spent many years of service dedicated to helping children with the Clothe the Child Program.

Harvey was a Christian and is now home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, OH 45459). A memorial service will begin at 3:00 pm, with both military honors and a Masonic service. Harvey will be interred at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
