Harold G. Smith

Harold G. Smith, age 94, of Springfield Ohio passed away March 14, 2020. He was born August 22, 1925 to the late Marion and Dessie Smith in Crab Orchard, Kentucky.

Harold was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a WW II Veteran. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, hunter, and loved being with his family and serving his church. He was a member at Knollwood Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years and 4 months, Freeda "Lavaughn" Smith; son, Lenville Smith; brothers, Lawrence and Marion Smith; and sister, Bobbie Roden.

Harold is survived by his son Roger (Kathy) Smith; grandsons, Matt and Brent Smith; great-granddaughter, Breanna Smith; and sister, Sis Roberts; and nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Newcomer Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 11:00am with Evangelist Heath Rogers officiating. Burial to follow at Valley View Cemetery ( 170 North Valley Road, Xenia Ohio 45385).
