Gwynneth Risley

Gwynneth Risley, age 80, of Kettering, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016. Gwynneth was born on February 8, 1936 in Woodsville, NH to the late Winston & Ethel Gibson. She was the valedictorian of her high school class, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Kentucky. Gwynneth was preceded in death by her son, Jared Risley and sister, Eva Barr. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Lee Risley; son, Nathan Risley; daughter-in-law, Jian "Jane" Zhang; brothers, Dean Gibson, Richard Gibson and Marshall Gibson. In addition to being a loving wife & mother, Gwynneth was a 40 year survivor of colon cancer. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 29, 2016 from 5-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 7pm.
