Gwendolyn Neal

Gwendolyn (Bilbrey) Neal, lovingly known as Gwen, age 71, of Union City, went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2024. She was born on October 23, 1952 to the late Dayton & Mary Jo Bilbrey. She married the love of her life, Lloyd, on December 26, 1969. They enjoyed life together for 54 years.

She had been the manager at a Dry Cleaner for several years. She loved gardening outside, reading books, and she loved her family. She also loved God and she loved her church, Mount Olive Freewill Baptist and Northridge Freewill Baptist. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Gwen was preceded in death by her grandparents: Willie & Stella Bilbrey; her step-mother, Helen Bilbrey; and her children: Mary E. (Neal) Clinard & Joshua Neal.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband, Lloyd Neal; her children: Jody & Marianna Bilbrey and Heather (Neal) & Shawn Huston; her sister, Beverly (Bilbrey) & Dan Brown; her brother, Jody & Marianna Bilbrey; grandchildren: J.C., Emma, Kadi, Kayla, Mallory, Dustin, Sara, Zoey, Irene, Michael, Maryjo and Emma; great-grandchildren: Bella, Carli, Zeke, Kaylin, Wade, Mary E., Oliver, Charlotte, Miley, Braylon, Jackson and Myles; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where her funeral service will begin at 1:00pm officiated by Pastor Hollie Jay VanHoose and Pastor Tim Hamilton. Following the service, Gwen will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Tipp City.
