Guy William Hanahan, age 68 of Huber Heights, passed away on Sunday April 24, 2011. He was born in Banner Springs, TN on October 10, 1942 to the late James and Laura Hanahan. Guy was preceded in death by eight siblings; Joyce, Jean, Bernice, Ozell, Ray, Bruce, Hascal and Carlie.
Guy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Elizabeth Hanahan; three daughters, Jackie (Jeff) Tangeman, Jennifer (Brad) Wills, and Stephanie (Todd) Lewis; six grandchildren, Alicia Tangeman, Gabriel, Elizabeth, and Josie Wills, Haley and Christopher Lewis; two brothers, Bob (Betty) and Olin (Amelia) Hanahan; one sister, Zola Anderson; numerous nieces and nephews; very dear friend, James (Patsy) Clark; and many other family members and good friends.
Guy was a veteran of the United States Army. Guy worked for 17 years for Dayton Press, and after 25 years of service, he retired from Chrysler/Behr Corporation. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. The family would like to send out a special thank you to Dr. Greg Gordon and staff, Dr. Louis Keiler and staff, and the wonderful staff at The Hospice of Dayton, for their loving care and support they provided to Guy and his family.
Services will be held at a later date in Guy's home town of Banner Springs, TN. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd.
