Gregory “Greg” Wilkins, born on May 3, 1961, in Jellico, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on May 16, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. His departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Wilkins, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became, and his wife, Lisa Wilkins, whose memory remained close to Greg’s heart.
He is survived by his fiancée, Debra McAlpine; his beloved daughters, Elizabeth (David) Ames, Janet (Jacob) Schul, and Amanda (Jason) Brown; his stepson, Andrew Arias; and his cherished grandchildren: Jonathan, Kylie, Clara, Cody, Charlotte, Riley, Lillian, and Luca. He also leaves behind his father, Sonny Wilkins; his siblings; Barbara Moore, Jackie Alford, Ed Wilkins, Cheryl Wilkins Hall, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Greg was a man of many interests and talents. He had a profound love for music, which brought joy and inspiration throughout his life, and he could often be found sharing his favorite songs with those around him. An avid tinkerer, Greg especially enjoyed working on watches and clocks, meticulously restoring and fine-tuning them with care and precision. Above all, Greg treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, finding immense happiness in their laughter and the memories they made together.
Greg’s passing is not just a loss for his family but for all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering support will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Memorial services are pending at this time and will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH 45439.
Greg will always be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for family, and his passion for life. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
