Gregory Lee Pettit

December 10, 1960 — October 19, 2020

Gregory Lee Pettit, age 59, of West Carrollton, passed away October 19, 2020. He was born and raised in West Carrollton, and worked at Bobcat of Dayton in several positions for more than 30 years.

Greg was preceded in death by his grandmother, Iris Pettit, mother, Linda (nee Parker) Pettit, and his brother, Dirk Pettit.

He is survived by his father, Rusty (Cheryl Henry) Pettit; his children, Jessica Lee Pettit, Ryan Adam Pettit; mother of his children, Ruta Pettit, and many other relatives and friends.

Greg grew up riding dirt bikes and instilled that love in his son. He had a passion for cars and drag racing and enjoyed spending time at Kil Kare Raceway and car shows. A former Pool Shark, he spent a lot of time running the tables at Amvets. He never met a stranger and loved spending time with his many friends. Greg was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

A gathering will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 5:00 pm until a time of sharing at 6:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Please come prepared to share some of your favorite memories and stories about Greg.
To help keep everyone healthy, masks are required and social distance will be expected. Next summer Greg's family will host a celebration of his life. Please check back for details.
