Gregory M. McIntosh, Sr., 66, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13, 2017 at his residence. Gregory was the son of Johnnie Mae Shackleford and the late Charles L. Shackleford. Gregory was the devoted companion of Katherine E. Hendrix for over 40 years.
Gregory was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Dayton and was the proud owner of Way-Lo Cleaning Service. He enjoyed his job, was extremely dedicated and worked hard to the end. He loved to travel and watching sports, especially the Cincinnati Bengals, Xavier Musketeers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Gregory enjoyed spending time with his entire family, loved them dearly and will be greatly missed.
Gregory is survived by his companion Katherine; his mother Johnnie Mae; two daughters Mischeal McIntosh and DeVonna Hendrix; a son Gregory M. (Fredrina) McIntosh, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a brother Fredrick "Teddy: (Gladys) McIntosh. He was preceded in death by his father Charles; and his grandmother Thelma McIntosh.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH 45424. A gathering of family and friends will be held an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family has requested memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association, 1313 Dorothy W. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, OH 45409.
