Greggory J. Etienne, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Laura, Ohio, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 20, 1961, in Dayton, Ohio, Greggory lived a life full of laughter, passion, dedication, and warmth, deeply touching those around him.
A meticulous flooring installer and owner of Accurate Flooring, Greggory was proud to have built a career that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to quality. He retired in 2024, after dedicating countless hours to perfecting his craft. His influential story will undoubtedly continue to inspire those who knew and worked with him.
Greggory was not only an accomplished professional but also a devoted family man. He took immense pride in his children—Ryan (Stephanie) Etienne, Elijah "EJ" (Brittany) Etienne, Jessica (Zaen) Etienne-Sardar, Samantha (Jacob) Lockhart, and Levi Etienne. He will be fondly remembered as a loving papaw to his grandchildren Makayla, Nicholas, Kyleigh, Cheyanne, Aniston, Ian, Miles, Kylee, Lucas, Wyatt, and Liam, who brought him boundless joy and laughter.
Family gatherings were filled with beautiful memories, from fishing trips with his dad to spirited nights staying up until the early hours, playing video games with Ryan. As a true patriot with an outgoing spirit, Greggory’s personality shone through in everything he did—his humor could lighten any room, and his love for storytelling always kept his family and friends engaged and in stiches. He was a natural teacher, eager to share his knowledge and experiences with others.
Greggory's love for sports was undeniable; he was an avid football fan, passionately rooting for his beloved Bengals and cheering on the Reds. His enthusiasm extended to NASCAR as well, where he followed the races and supported drivers like Dale Jarrett and Kyle Larson. On quieter days, he found solace in playing the guitar, singing karaoke at the Touchdown Tavern, and listening to music—a reflection of his rich inner world. He also cherished his time working with EJ, Levi, Jake and Danny.
He graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1979, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and determination. His athletic skill, especially on the ball field, is a testament to the encouragement and coaching from his father, Jerry (Momma Kitty) Etienne. He is also survived by siblings John (Kathy) Etienne, Terri (Greg) King, Chris (Brian) McCormick, Mike (Charlotte) Etienne, Danny (Laura) Etienne, and numerous step siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends who will miss him dearly.
As we remember Greggory, we must acknowledge the special friendships he held dear, particularly with Mark and Lehla Evans, and the compassionate care provided by his favorite nurse, Abbi as well as his sister Terri.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marcia Etienne, and his daughter, Maranda Church, both of whom will forever hold a cherished place in his heart.
A visitation to honor Greggory’s life will be held on October 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio.
