Granville G. "Gray" Sexton, age 91, of Huber Heights, passed away September 17, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Berwind, West Virginia, on August 20, 1929, the son of the late Walter and Nanny Sexton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Luther, Hubert, Gracie, Beulah and Eva.
Gray is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita (Frazier)Sexton; children, Eva Jane "Janie" (Frank Grilliot) Sexton, Pamela (Dale) Morris and Larry "Bean" D. (Oda) Sexton; grandchildren, Nicholas Sexton, Jeremy Sexton, Tyler Sexton, Breea (John) Sexton Hoover, Amanda (Rob) Morris McClure and Chris Morris; great grandchildren, Aubrey Hoover, Collin Hoover, Kylie Sexton, Victoria Veldman and Gabe Veldman; and many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
He served his country proudly in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Gray retired from Wright Patterson AFB, where he was employed as a Civil Service Heating Engineer. In his free time, he enjoyed anything outdoors, whether it be cutting the grass or teasing the squirrels. Gray loved to tinker with anything mechanical or electrical, taking things apart was a favorite pastime of his.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where services will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH, 45420.
