Scott, Grace Minerva, daughter of Norwood and Elsie Speakman of Chester, Pennsylvania was born April 28, 1944 and passed away in Dayton, Ohio on November 29, 2018, at age 74.
Grace Speakman graduated from Chester High School in 1962. She retired from Lytton Electronics after 25 years of service.
Grace Scott was a devout wife and mother. She was a warm and gentle soul who always put her family first. Above all else, she loved and cared deeply for her grandkids and great grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she would always praise about how wonderful they were.
In addition to being the center of our family, she had a special way of bringing the family together solely by her love and delicious cooking. She was an amazing and selfless woman who would do absolutely anything for those that she loved. This compassionate and kind-hearted woman will be greatly missed by all.
Grace Scott is preceded in death by her 2 husbands: Elmer Morgan and David "Gene" Scott as well as her 3 brothers: Norwood, John and Billy Speakman.
Grace Scott is survived by her 3 children: James Morgan (Tammy), Ron Morgan (Kim), and Sharon Socrates (Jim). She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Heather Oberle, Jessica Socrates, Katrina Socrates, Brandon Hamiel (Ashley) and Stephen Schwab; as well as her 7 great-grandchildren: Kylie Socrates, Morgan Oberle, Brooklyn Crosley, Aliyan Trammell, Kaiya Trammell, Faith Bunch and Aaron Bunch.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road in Beavercreek on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 4-6:00 pm with a funeral service at 6:00 pm. Burial services will be held Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm in Winchester, Kentucky at Winchester Cemetery.
