Gordon G. Griever, 82, of Huber Heights, passed away March 23, 2016. Gordon was born in Penlee, Virginia on February 5, 1934 to the late Willard and Alma Griever. Gordon retired from General Motors after more than 25 years of service. He was a proud member of the US Navy and was a member of the VFW in Vandalia. In his free time, he enjoyed staying active, being outdoors and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his sister, Millie Yrjanson and brother, Dean Griever.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Wilma Griever; daughters, Debbie (Steve) Burgher, Dina (Rob Low) Griever; son, Dale (Lynn) Griever; grandchildren, Adam (Katie), Evan, Erin, Amy, Scott, Shannon, Cimmeria, Angela, Jody, Jeremy, Laura, Dawn, Jessica; great grandchildren, Adrian, Aidan, Cameron, Madison, Abigail, Colin, Caleb; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 12:30pm-1:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where funeral services will follow at 1:30pm.
Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
