Gloria Jean Welch, age 80 of Dayton, OH, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026 at . She was born February 19, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Wright; mother, Thelma Wright; son, Robert D. Manning; husband, Robert A. Manning; second husband, Gene Welch; companion, Woodrow Turner; and great granddaughter, Kelci Geswein

Gloria is survived by her three children, Teresa (Tommy) Gunsauley, Randy (Vickie) Coots, Tammy (Daniel) Clark; grandchildren, Danielle Clark, Shayne Farmer, Brittany Gunsauley, Kelley Coots, Tony Phillips, Matt Phillips, Tessa Phillips. Brandie Adams, Carrie Geswein, Timothy Geswein Jr., Brianna Coots, Caiden Coots, David Coots; 23 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janice Gordon and Judy Jablonski; sister-in-law, Linda Wright; and great-niece, Amber Johnson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.

Gloria attended Stebbins High School and dedicated her life to her family as a devoted homemaker and the true matriarch of those she loved. She cherished family gatherings and could often be found singing karaoke, enjoying the beauty of the Kentucky mountains, playing Mahjongg, working in her adult coloring books, or FaceTiming with family and friends. Gloria was a mother and grandmother not only to her own family, but to anyone in need of love, guidance, or encouragement. She never met a stranger, and to Gloria, friends quickly became family. Her warm heart, welcoming spirit, and unwavering love for others will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm on Thurday, October 22, 2026 at Newcomer - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral Service will be officiated at 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Newcomer - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424).
