Glen Ellis Miller, age 83, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away at home on June 17, 2026, after a courageous battle with Amyloidosis.
Glen was born on December 23, 1942, in Bellevue, Ohio, to Ann and Willard Miller. A proud 1965 graduate of Ohio Northern University, he began his professional career as a teacher and coach. He later transitioned into the business world, spending over ten years in sales and management for Xerox. He then became a Manager and eventually the CEO of Sogeti USA until his retirement in 2004. Not one to sit still, Glen went on to start his own executive consulting firm, dedicating his time to what he loved most: coaching people. He touched countless lives through his mentorship and guidance over the years.
On November 27, 1965, he married his beloved wife, Linda Shambarger, in Lima, Ohio. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage and raised two children. Glen possessed a quiet but confident presence. He always greeted others with a warm smile and a sincere desire to get to know them. One look into his bright blue eyes revealed a genuine, kind, and loving man who believed in asking questions and truly listening to the answers. Sports were central to his life from a young age, a passion he joyfully passed down to his children and grandchildren. Whether displaying his killer left-handed tennis serve, throwing a curveball or quarterback pass, or driving a golf ball down the fairway, he always pushed himself to compete with character and grace. Glen’s deepest passion was his family. He cherished the time they spent together, especially the summers at Lake Erie and Christmas vacations in Fort Lauderdale. He could often be found in his signature t-shirt, khaki shorts, and baseball hat, with a fishing pole in his hand.
Glen is survived by his devoted wife, Linda; his daughter, Melissa (Dan) Pfahl; his daughter-in-law, Christine Miller; his grandchildren, Taylor (James) Herbert, Jake Pfahl, and Grace Miller; and his great-grandchildren, Everett and Adaline Herbert. He also leaves behind his siblings: Gary Miller, Janet (Gary) Rosmarin, Jean (Tom) Roth, sisters-in-law Susan Shambarger and Kathy (John) Hogan, and brother-in-law Steve (Sharon) Shambarger, along with many wonderful nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ann and Willard Miller; his beloved son, Marc Miller; his brothers-in-law, David and Jeff Shambarger; and his sister-in-law, Sheila Miller.
A visitation will be held on July 10, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 820 Miamisburg Centerville Rd. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 pm. Following the service, the family invites friends and loved ones to an Open House celebrating Glen's life at Yankee Trace Golf Course from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Glen's honor to amyloidosis.org or lakeeriefoundation.org.
"He lived his life well, laughed often, and loved much. His greatest legacy isn't the things he left behind, but the relationships he built and the love he shared"
