Glen Eric Dempsey, age 76 of Dayton, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at Otterbein Springboro. He was born January 24, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Leonard and Zeda Dempsey.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Dempsey; nephew, Matthew Dempsey; and other extended family members.
Glen is survived by his two daughters, Heather (David) Young, Tracy (Justin) Dempsey; his sister, Cindy Dempsey, and numerous family and friends.
Glen was a faithful member of Patterson Park Church and loved singing in the choir for many years. The most important thing to Glen was his relationship with Jesus Christ and he shared that love with his children.
Glen enjoyed fishing, car racing (especially local tracks), bicycling with his brother, television, and flight simulator games to vicariously have the job he always wanted but eyes wouldn't allow, a pilot. His interest in photography enabled him to photo document a lifetime of good times as a lasting gift. He loved his family and friends, especially making them laugh. He was very loved and will be deeply missed.
The family hopes you will find some time to reflect on who he was, give thanks for the time you had, and share pranks, jokes/puns, or any other memories in the guestbook below. There will be a Memorial Service in the future but no plans at this time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Patterson Park Church in Glen's memory.
