Gerri Lynn Purvis, age 55 of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 8, 2026. She was born February 8, 1971 in Dayton, Ohio. The daughter of Robert Leyes and Anna Noe.

A truly kindhearted soul, Gerrilyn brought warmth and generosity into the lives of everyone around her. Her family was the center of her world, and her devotion as a mother and grandmother was unmatched. She leaves behind a legacy of gentle love, and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Gerri was preceded in death by her father, Robert Leyes; step-father, Wade Noe; and maternal grandmother, Allie Taylor.

She is survived by her daughters, Maria Masters, Danelle Masters, Leianna Purvis, and Allie Purvis; father of her children, Johnny Purvis; grandchildren, Briley, Maddilynn, Bentlee, Davlyn, Ellie, Josalynn, Addison, Briella, Carson, Oakleigh, and Shiriya; mother, Anna Noe; siblings, Rena Leyes, Dena Leyes; nephews, Timothy Crouse and Justin Crouse; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026 from 12-1pm at Newcomer Funeral Home,4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will follow beginning at 1pm.
