Geraldine Vanhoose

Geraldine Vanhoose age 95, of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord at her forever home on June 18, 2020. She was born August 19, 1924 in Catlesttsburg, KY daughter of the late McLelellay and Pearl Lemaster.

Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member at Calvary Enterprise Baptist Church for over 40 years. She enjoyed quilting, crafting, loved Bible Study, and quoting her Bible. She was a wonderful mother with a beautiful soul. She will be greatly missed by family and all that knew her.

A special thank you to the ladies of Colorado Baptist Church for the love and support that they showed to our mother.

In addition to her parents, Gerealdine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Hubert Vanhoose; and daughter, Carolyn Sue Helmig.

Geraldine is survived by her children, Truman Vanhoose, Rose Lee (C.J) Chenoweth, Debra (Ernest) Padilla, Steve Vanhoose, and Willard Vanhoose; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432) Services will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery.
