George E. Whitaker

George E. Whitaker, age 67 of Moraine, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Kettering Health Main Campus. He was born September 12, 1958 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Reba Cavins and the late Wallace Whitaker. George graduated from West Carrollton High School. He had a career as a welder. George was a devoted son. He had fond memories of going fishing with his father and took care of his father for the last 15 years. George was the type of man who kept to himself and enjoyed the small things in life like eating sweets, playing the lottery, and watching his favorite shows on the television, he was particularly fond of the news and weather and the western show, Gun Smoke. George will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Wallace E. Whitaker.

George is survived by his Daughter, Rebecca Catherine (Daniel) Aaron; Granddaughters, Danecca Brook Aaron, and Kathryn Lynn Aaron; Sisters, Sharon C. (Dean) Deeter, Cheryl Lynn (Paul) Bruno, and Joyce W. Hiler; Brother, Paul Wallace Whitaker; Nephews, Joshua Dean Deeter, Bryan Paul (Amanda) Bruno, Brad Wallace (Melissa) Bruno, and Anthony J. Kuntz; Nieces, Candice Marie (Josh) Teague, Tanya Nicole (Shawn) O'laughlin, Tabitha Julia (William) Ward, and Natasha A. Hiler; Girlfriend, Sherry L. Smith; and by numerous family and friends.

A visitation will be held Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439).
